Code of Conduct PDF Print E-mail

The purpose of this code of conduct is to insure the highest respect and courtesy toward one another, as well as to guarantee the proper use, maintenance and care of YMCA property and equipment. Use of the YMCA is a privilege, which can be revoked at any time for violation of the YMCA Code of Conduct.

  • The YMCA facilities are smoke/tobacco free properties.  While on YMCA property, smoking is only permitted inside your vehicle.
  • Dipping or chewing is not permitted in the building.
  • Use of drugs or illegal substances is not acceptable. The use or possession of such items will warrant suspension or termination.
  • Removal of YMCA property or the property of someone else will result in termination and prosecution.
  • Verbal abuse, swearing, fighting, or arguing is not acceptable or appropriate behavior at the YMCA.  Violators will be asked to leave or be removed by the police. In addition, suspension or termination of privileges could occur.
  • Lack of respect to staff or other members or guests will result in suspension or termination of privileges.
  • Harassment of any nature, will not be tolerated by anyone (members, staff, guests or outside contractors).  Any inappropriate behavior should be reported promptly to the YMCA manager on duty.
