Benjamin Franklin once said that a person is not truly educated unless they know how to swim.   For over 100 years, YMCAs nationwide have been teaching individuals how to swim, and how to safely enjoy pools and other recreational waters.  YMCAs have been teaching how swimming and aquatic exercise can improve health, and also teaching how lives can be saved.   Learning to swim means learning skills that you can enjoy all throughout life – long after you’ve had to give up other sports and activities.
